4/4/2008 ADASHI PARTNERS WITH MSA. Mine Safety Appliances Company (MSA) is the global leader in the development, manufacture and supply of sophisticated safety products. MSA chose the ADASHI 3.0 platform to seamlessly integrate sensor data from MSA's SAFESITEŽ Multi-Threat Wireless Detection System. SAFESITE sensors are designed to detect hazards such as chemical warfare agents, gamma radiation, and toxic industrial chemicals.

8/17/2007 SAFE ENVIRONMENT ENGINEERING CHOOSES ADASHI. LifeˇlineŽ wireless monitoring solutions from Safe Environment Engineering enable first responders and entry teams to safely and securely monitor state-of-the-art chemical, physiological, and radiological sensors from many leading sensor manufacturers. ADASHI 3.0 displays Life-Line sensor locations, alarms and data on its built-in map and provides critical guidance for quickly and correctly responding to and mitigating the hazard.

02/25/2007 ADASHI PLAYS SUPPORTING ROLE AT THE ACADEMY AWARDS.  ADASHI First Response software was used by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) to provide security for the 79th Annual Academy Awards Ceremony recently held in Hollywood, California.

01/17/2007  ADASHI EMPLOYED IN SECURITY PLANNING FOR MARYLAND'S GUBERNATORIAL INAUGURATION. ADASHI First Response software was used to preplan security for the inauguration of Maryland’s newest governor, Martin O’Malley. First responders from around the state were on duty to support incident command and control with the aid of First Response.

10/18/2006 ADASHI TO DISTRIBUTE NAVTEQ PREMIUM MAP PRODUCTS.  ADASHI announces it has signed a distribution agreement with NAVTEQ, a leading provider of digital map products enabling it to distribute NAVTEQ products with ADASHI. The next planned release of First Response with ESRI will ship to our U.S. and Canadian customers with premium NAVTEQ street maps. NAVTEQ maps contain an extraordinary level of detail, like turn restrictions, physical barriers and gates, one-way streets, restricted access, and relative road heights. Continuously updated, NAVTEQ digital map data not only enables precise door-to-door routing, it contains millions of points of interest, including the locations of schools, hospitals, municipal buildings, stadia, and much more.

10/2/2006 ADASHI PARTNERS WITH DYCOR IN CANADA.  ADASHI is pleased to announce that it has formed a strategic partnership with Dycor Technologies, Ltd. to cooperate together to market, sell and distribute ADASHI to the Canadian market. Dycor, headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta focuses primarily on the research, development and production of biological threat detection capability, and the integration of that capability into full CBRN detection systems.

09/19/2006 ADASHI ADDS GIS CAPABILITY.  ADASHI today signed an agreement with the Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI). ADASHI is now an authorized business partner and OEM for ESRI's premier geographic information system (GIS) software products, the de facto GIS standard.

The integration of ESRI’s ArcGIS capability provides an enhanced interface for incident routing, overlaying satellite imagery, and viewing hazard areas along with local geographic information, including terrain features and the location of fire stations, fire hydrants, and hospitals. This new capability enables the use of locally developed and enhanced maps that identify potential hazard sources, infrastructure, evacuation routes, and more.

Digital map products in any ESRI-compatible map format can now easily be viewed within First Response. No special integration or translation is required. With the addition of ESRI's tools, First Response is now being sold world-wide to qualified Emergency Responders.

9/1/2006 ADASHI VERSION 2.2 RELEASED.  ADASHI is proud to announce the release of First Response v 2.2. The latest version contains many enhancements and additions, but the most dramatic new feature is the addition of ESRI's state-of-the-art ArcGIS tools to ADASHI. The addition of First Response with ESRI to the ADASHI product family makes it possible, for the first time, for emergency responders outside the U.S. to effectively use ADASHI. First Response with ESRI enables emergency responders to:

  • Supplement built-in maps with locally-developed digital maps, e.g., satellite photos and hydrant locations
  • Easily create and save custom map views by combining the map features/layers needed
  • Integrate ADASHI with the existing CAD and/or AVL system, or share incidents over the network, for a common operating picture
  • View detailed premium street maps of the U.S. and Canada with locations of government buildings, museums, shopping centers, parks, schools, hospitals, and more
  • Display real-time vehicle position, routing and turn information on the map, along with audio directions

7/17/2006 ADASHI PARTNERS WITH TESS-COM IN ITALY.  ADASHI is pleased to announce it has formed a strategic partnership with TESS-COM Italia, S.R.L. to jointly market, sell, distribute, and support ADASHI First Response with ESRI to emergency responders in Italy, NATO and the EU. Tess-Com, headquartered near Milan, Italy is an established provider of simulation solutions and technologies for the design, development, integration and operation of complex systems. Company activities include the distribution of COTS tools for modeling and simulation, and the development of real-time simulation and training systems.

12/08/2005 DHS CERTIFIES ADASHI.  First Response is now on the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Approved Product List for Homeland Security.  Only technology designated and certified "Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology" (QATT) by the DHS can be found on this select list.  This designation and certification was based on a thorough, independent review and evaluation of the ADASHI technology by DHS in accordance with the requirements of the SAFETY Act. ADASHI is the first decision-aid software of its class to be certified by DHS.

11/14/2005 ADASHI VERSION 2.1 RELEASED.  ADASHI is proud to announce the latest release of First Response software. ADASHI First Response 2.1 contains many important new features and enhancements:

  • National Incident Management System (NIMS) SmartForm Automation: once set up by the user, NIMS forms are automatically filled out for each incident
  • Enhanced real-time automated weather acquisition: 8000+ weather stations from AWS Convergence Technologies, Inc. (AWS) added to the stations of the National Oceanographic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)
  • Improved GPS hardware compatibility
  • Improved address searching capabilities
  • Additional portable MET station compatibility and improved configuration interface

7/22/2005 ADASHI INCORPORATES AWS WEATHER DATA.  ADASHI announces that it has formed a strategic relationship with AWS Convergence Technologies, Inc. to work together to sell and distribute ADASHI to the U.S. market.  AWS, headquartered in Gaithersburg, Maryland, owns and operates a national network of weather sensors and associated technology.  Accurate hazard prediction depends upon accurate weather information.  Real-time weather observations from more than 8,000 AWS weather stations in the U.S. will now be available in ADASHI to supplement the weather data available from the NOAA National Weather Service station network.

5/16/2005 ADASHI VERSION 2.0 RELEASED.  First Response 2.0 is now available for trial download and purchase. Current users may upgrade at any time by clicking Check for Updates on the Help menu.

4/14/2005 ADASHI VERSION 2.0 DEMONSTRATED.  First Response 2.0 was demonstrated for the first time at the 2005 Fire Department Instructor's Course (FDIC) show in Indianapolis. This latest version contains many important new features and enhancements:

  • Double the number of hazardous materials
  • Integrates the newest version of ALOHA, v5.3.1
  • Provides tri-concern level hazard regions and best-of-breed toxic level criteria
  • Improved portable MET station compatibility
  • Improved formal reporting, including scene captures and play-by-play action lists which can be used for preplanning
  • Automated field entry into the National Incident Management System forms for DHS ODP.
  • Improved address find and search capabilities, including best match and alternative suggestions
  • Improved GPS interface

1/24/2005 ADASHI WINS AWARD.  The Federal Laboratory Consortium (FLC) announced that ADASHI has been selected to receive the prestigious Excellence in Technology Transfer award at the upcoming 2005 FLC National Meeting in May. One of the most coveted awards in the field of technology transfer, these awards recognize laboratory employees who have accomplished outstanding work in the process of transferring federally developed technology to the marketplace. A panel of experts from industry, state and local government, academia, and the federal laboratory system judge the nominations.

1/10/2005 - ADASHI APPROVED FOR EXPORT.  ADASHI First Response is now officially approved by the U.S. Department of State for export. A special international demonstration edition is available to eligible international organizations for evaluation. Please contact us for details.

10/1/2004 - ADASHI SEEKS DHS CERTIFICATION.  OptiMetrics, Inc. applies to have ADASHI First Response certified by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security as Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology under the SAFETY Act. The purpose of the SAFETY Act is to encourage the development and deployment of anti-terrorism technologies that will substantially enhance the protection of the nation.
